Play safe
Last updated 2026-09-01
A good game is one you can close. If a tab has started running your day, this page is for you.
Where we stand
PlayInTab lists only free games and never covers real-money gambling. But free games are designed to bring you back: daily rewards, timers, events, loot mechanics. We score those under Fairness and refuse to list games that abuse them. Even so, any game can take more than you meant to give.
Habits that keep it fun
- Set a session length before opening the tab, and stop when it ends, even mid-event.
- Let streaks break. A missed daily reward costs nothing that matters.
- Decide a monthly limit for optional purchases, if any, and remove saved payment methods on the publisher's site.
- Play with people you know; social play is easier to pace than solo grinding.
- Notice why you are opening the game. Boredom is fine. Avoidance is a signal.
Signs it is time to talk to someone
- You regularly play far longer than you planned
- Sleep, meals, work or study are slipping
- You feel irritable or low when you cannot play
- You have spent money you needed elsewhere
- You hide how much you play
